Orla Hill – Teaching Assistant

My first taste of drama was when my form teacher advised me to take it up as a hobby for confidence reasons. Since then I have never looked back.

I studied GCSE drama and Theatre studies A-level. I joined an after-school drama club in Watford and then for two years attended a full-time drama and musical theatre group in Rickmansworth.

In 1999 I was lucky enough to get a job as a runner for the BBC. Getting to work on a variety of shows. Including “The Generation Game”, ” Children in Need” and “Strictly come dancing” 15 years later I am still there, but I am now a studio co-ordinater.

I have worked with Nichola for approximately 10 years. Firstly helping out with the younger children then moving to the Friday evenings and the older group. It’s been a great experience and a great pleasure to be part of NRYA.
